so i thought i had a strange fascination with creating. every since i was little, i have always enjoyed creating things… from lincoln logs, to roller coasters on rollercoaster tycoon (1&2), to web sites, to bracelets, to cooking, to gardening, to knitting. and the reason that i don’t think it’s so strange anymore is because apparently other people are similarly driven to create. check this out…
“Christians rightly believe that a life is a gift given to us by God–something we shouldn’t waste. We celebrate God by using the life he has given us to create other things. One of the most powerful antidotes to addiction is participating in different activities, lifting the addicts out of themselves and into positive, constructive acts of creation.
Healthy Christians create. It is the nature of our God to create. He’s introduced in Genesis 1 as the Creator of everything. One of the last images given to us in the book of Revelation is God creating the new heaven and the new earth. The Bible is literally framed around the act of God creating.
With the Spirit of God in us we, too, need to create. I won’t create the same things that my wife or children create, but all of us should find some participation in the act of creation. It’s what we were made to do.”

awesome.
